Introduction to Myself

Hello, my name is Macharnie Skalecki. I am a junior at Palisade High School and am currently an International Baccalaureate diploma candidate. To give you a little background on how I came into the CAS project that I have let me start with freshman year. My freshman year I was asked to be a part of a program at Palisade High School called Live Above the Influence. I was a member of this committee for the duration of my freshman and sophomore years. In the end of my sophomore year I applied to be a leader of the group. This is  one of the best decisions I couldn't have made heading into my junior year. At the beginning of junior year as a leader I was invited to be a part of a group sponsored by an organization called Safe Kids America. It was the first wave of the group starting up and there were around 10 members from a total of 3 schools throughout the Grand Valley. This program is called Neural Activity. As of today I have been a part of the program for a total of 8 months.
