Update: November 2013

This month was purely used to get work done in terms of the up and coming middle school prevention presentations. We had a formal meeting at the Mesa County Sherrif's Office with the sponsor and creator of our group, Deputy Chad Williams. This was my first meeting with Chad and it was successful. I enjoyed his teaching and his passion for what he was teaching on. During this meeting, he gave us a layout of the middle school presentations and showed us the most effective way of presenting to the young children. Seeing as children learn differently from adults it was interesting to see the different things that they respond to in terms of teaching. We learned tips on how to keep the kids attention and help them to understand the intricate ways that drugs harm the human body. It was an interesting and effective meeting, and we got the chance to present the presentation in front of the sponsors of our group.
